Resource Generation: Class Distinctions and Income Brackets

Resource Generation is a collective of 18-35 year olds who have access to wealth in the top 10% in the US. They are led by a cross-class leadership tea Their mission is to educate young people about their privilege in economic systems and encourage redistribution of wealth to put towards social justice issues. Race in the City of Destiny

Race in the City of Destiny is an oral history project conducted by Professor Andrew Gomez at the University of Puget Sound. Other main contributors: Amanda Diaz, Maddy Hadden, Adam Nolan, and Rose Pytte. The project started with students conducting interviews related to the Northwest Detention Center, and flourished into an in depth exploration of how race has affected Tacoma's modern history. The site features interviews from several previous ADV members.

No Tech for ICE: Amazon's Role in Perpetuating Detention

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides the cloud service for a data mining company called Palantir. Palantir designs critical information gathering systems that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) use to track and deport immigrants. For this and other reasons, immigrant rights activists created the #notechforICE campaign, which calls for tech companies to cut ties with ICE and stop enabling detention and injustice.

As a club, ADV wants to focus on amplifying marginalized voices and highlighting the important work that organizations have been doing for years before us. The following slides feature organizations fighting for immigrant rights and freedom from structural oppressions.
